A dream by two brothers, with the help of their parents and siblings, opened a neighborhood bakery in May of 1980 in a small strip mall on Russell’s Mills Road in Dartmouth. It was a dream that quickly became a reality within a short time. Loyalty, hard work, quality control and dedication has led us to expand within a few short years to two other locations, to better serve the customer demand for our products without sacrificing quality.

Using “Old World” and timeless recipes, including our own family recipes, has made Sunrise Bakery one of the leading bakery/ coffee shops in the Dartmouth/New Bedford area. The loyalty of our valued customer “family” has time and again voted Sunrise Bakery one of the top bakeries in the SouthCoast area.
